As you step inside, the ambiance strikes a delicate balance between cozy and lively. The warm, welcoming service immediately puts guests at ease, creating a friendly environment perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. At Nakorn Thai, the menu is a celebration of Thailand's vibrant cuisine. A standout dish that many customers rave about is the Pad Thai, which is fragrant and expertly prepared to highlight its authentic taste. Another must-try is the green curry, noted for its perfectly balanced spices that bring warmth and depth to each spoonful. There’s also a buzz around the chicken spring rolls and the hearty BBQ beef, both of which promise freshness and flavor in every bite.
While some diners have mentioned that certain dishes skew on the sweeter side in comparison to what one might experience in Thailand, the overall consensus is that Nakorn Thai captures the essence of Thai cuisine beautifully. Reviews reflect a diverse dining experience, but dishes like the beef salad have emerged as crowd favorites, showcasing quality ingredients prepared with care.
The restaurant is manageable when it comes to service – though there have been occasional hiccups, such as unsynchronized food delivery, the staff generally maintain a pleasant demeanor. Visited by a myriad of diners, Nakorn Thai has retained its reputation for delightful meals served in generous portions at reasonable prices. The BYO policy further adds a layer of flexibility, inviting you to bring your favorite beverages to complement the flavorful dishes.
Even with its few minor shortcomings, Nakorn Thai Restaurant & Bar proves to be a solid choice for anyone eager to dive into the intricacies of Thai cuisine. Whether you're a local or just passing through, its inviting atmosphere and rich offerings make it a dining destination worth revisiting.
In conclusion, Nakorn Thai is more than a restaurant; it's a place where culinary passion meets the warmth of community. As diners continue to explore its menu, one thing is clear: Nakorn Thai Restaurant & Bar remains a gem in the heart of Malvern, waiting to delight each visitor with its authentic Thai experience.
“ Nakhon Thai Restaurant in Australia is a hidden gem! The food is bursting with authentic Thai flavours, from the perfectly spiced green curry to the fragrant pad Thai. The service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels cozy yet vibrant. A must-visit spot for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine. ”
“ Foods are ok but very sweet. We tried the same dishes in Thailand. Hence the comparison. ”
“ “Nakorn Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants around. The food is fresh and full of flavour, and the service is always warm and welcoming. Highly recommend the chicken Springrolls and BBQ Beef ”
“ Review 2022: This place is under new management and is not the same as it used to be. Service a bit disjointed and not as friendly or welcoming as it used to be. The "Fresh juice" is comprised of a 2L Golden Circle fruit drink that you buy for $2 at Coles yet here they charge $4.50 a glass - so much for "fresh". The beef salad is one of the best I've tasted however so there is still quality in the food. Service relatively quick too. The music they have playing is some Thai pop and it's terrible. I'm not sure if they're trying to entice western customers, but the music is enough to deter people from dining in. Review 1/02/2025: After a hiatus of around three years, we decided to revisit Nakorn Thai and were not disappointed. The ambiance has seen some improvements, with the music now turned down low, allowing for easy conversation. Starters: We started with prawn spring rolls, vegetarian curry puffs, and satay chicken skewers. All were flavorful and well-prepared, providing a delightful start to our meal. The mains then followed immediately, with the entrees not even finished (which was too quick). Mains: For the main course, we opted for the special of pork belly with broccoli, steamed barramundi, and chicken Pad KraPao. Each dish was delicious and satisfying, maintaining the restaurant's reputation for good Thai cuisine. We also ordered a tofu salad, but after it didn't arrive with the other mains, we canceled it around 10 minutes later. Service: The service was acceptable but lacked any standout moments. There was a minor hiccup when one of the waitresses attempted to clear a plate while someone was still eating, which was not ideal. Additionally, the air conditioning was quite high, making the dining area rather cold. Overall Experience: Despite these minor issues, Nakorn Thai still managed to deliver a pleasant dining experience. The cost for four adults, with BYO wine, was $160, which we found to be reasonably priced. We look forward to returning in the future to explore more dishes from their menu. Final Thoughts: Nakorn Thai continues to offer tasty Thai dishes in a cozy setting, making it a solid choice for a meal out. With a few tweaks in service and climate control, it could easily improve. August 2025 Beef massaman was average with undercooked onion. Serving sizes are small. Food brought out quickly enough. ”
“ What a fabulous restaurant! Fresh tasty food, prompt service, generous serve sizes, pleasant helpful staff Good authentic and delicious food Definitely worth some more visits ”
“ Delicious food and warm hospitality! One of the best Thai dining experiences in Malvern.
